EDTF MONITORING TEAM EMBARK ON TOUR OF CSS, OKUTUKUTU WATER PROJECT

The Chairman of the Monitoring and Evaluation Committee of EDTF, Professor Francis Sikoki has commended the Principal and Management Team of Community Secondary School, Okutukutu for effectively handling the affairs of the school particularly the water project.

Professor Sikoki who made the commendation during an assessment tour of water project established in the school sponsored by the EDTF in partnership with Rotary International Club, District 9141 expressed happiness that, the water project is meeting expectation.

According to him, the purpose of the visit was in line with the Board’s mandate to inspect and assess project and programmes executed by the Trust Fund to achieve set goals.

He highlighted areas of assessment on the water project to include, adherence to specification as specified in the guide line of the project, quality, standard, depth of the Borehole as specified by experts in conformity with (NAFDAC) 150 feats, quantity of water, content as well as the colour of the water.

Professor Sikoki further applauded the School for making the EDTF proud for its efforts towards ensuring the proper maintenance and effective use of the water in serving the school.

Responding, the Principal of Community Secondary School, Okutukutu, Dr. Fyneboy Ezekiel expressed appreciation and commended the EDTF for the immense support and contributions in the Educational Sector particularly for its benevolence in establishing water project in the school.

Dr. Ezekiel assured the Monitoring team of EDTF of the efficient use of the water scheme which he noted had not given the school any challenge.

In his vote of thanks, the Vice-principal Administration of the school, Mr. Nimizuo Dauebi equally expressed gratitude to the EDTF for the implementation of water project in the school.

He also used the opportunity to request the EDTF to continue its support towards intervening in the provision of more classroom blocks to ease the challenges of overcrowded classrooms in the school.
