…. PLEADS FOR SUSTAINABILITY OF THE BOARD’S MANDATE
Chairman of the Bayelsa State Education Development Trust Fund Board (EDTF), Prof. Isoun T. Turner has reiterated the board’s resolve under his Sterling leadership to keep high standard for others following it’s inauguration by the Senator Henry Seriake Dickson led restoration Government.
Prof. Isoun who applauded the Board members for a job well done, pleaded with the Senator Douye Diri’s led Prosperity Government and subsequent Board members to sustain the vision and Mandate of the Board.
He stated that the EDTF’s vision and core mandate is to give support and encourage the development of education in Bayelsa State, and that whoever takes over from them is required to maintain the standard.
Prof. Turner made the remarks while addressing the Board during its 22nd Board meeting at the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Education in Yenagoa.
“His words: the Bayelsa State Education Development Trust Fund Board has kept high standard for others to follow since we came on-board. So far, we have done well as a Board and managed our resources well. I urge whoever that takes over from us to maintain the standard we are leaving behind because the board has come to stay.
Prof. Isoun T. Turner congratulated the EDTF’s Board members for a good job, and particularly directed the Secretariat to sort out outstanding issues if there’s any before the next meeting.
